Provost

Professor Aisha Indo Mohammed, was born in Jama'are, Bauchi State; and she is the first female Professor from Jama'are Emirate Council. She was appointed as the appointed as pioneer Provost of Federal College of Education, Jama'are, Bauchi State by the former President and Commander -in- Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR on the 16th March, 2021. Before then, she was a professor of Educational psychology, who has produced PhD students, Master's Degree Students and Undergraduate Students at the Department of Educational Psychology and Counselling, Faculty of Education Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She was the Head of Section Educational Psychology, Department of Educational Psychology and Counselling ABU, Zaria for seven (7) years, Assistant Examination Officer Faculty of Education for two (2) years and later Faculty of Education Examination officer for Four (4) years, PG Coordinator of Department Educational Psychology and Counselling ABU, Zaria for two (2) year, Head of Department Educational Psychology and Counselling ABU Zaria for four (4) years, Vice chairman Quality Assurance Committee Department of Educational Psychology and Counselling 2020, Member Department Postgraduate Committee department of educational psychology and Counselling in 2020. She served as chairman, Secretary and Member of many Committee and Ad-hoc Committees at Faculty level, within and outside the University. Prof. Aisha serves as an assessor for publications of academic staff promotion in FCE, Zuba; FCE, Zaria, and Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto in 2015, an External Moderator for Educational Psychology courses in Umaru Musa Yar'adua University, Kastina, FCE, Zaria, COE Gidan Waya Kaduna state. She serves as external examiner for Post-graduate Programmes in Bayero University, Kano, Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Umaru Musa Yar'adua University Kastina, and University of Jos. She also served as member of Accreditation of Academic Programmes in Nigerian universities namely, Rivers, Katsina, Osun, Ogun state and FCT Abuja. As a Consultant, Trainer and Resource person, Prof. Aisha was an assistant Consultant to National Educational Material Procurement Program (PTF PROJECT) in 1999, a Training officer, Ministry of Education and UNICEF sponsored Situation and Policy Analysis (SAPA) Basic Education project workshop, Bauchi in 1999. She was a resource person on review of the National Sexuality Education Workshop Sponsored by Northern State Old Students at Arewa house, Kaduna in 2002. She was the Deputy Rapporteur General at the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the National Teachers Institute and Teacher National Summit Kaduna in 2002. As a curriculum developer, Prof. Aisha was a writer of National Curriculum for Primary School, Social Studies (Primary 1-3) by National Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) from 2003 to 2009. She was a member/writer Teacher Grade 11 Course Books on Education (NIT). She was a member of the APC transition committee in 2015, member of Federal College of Education, Zaria Governing Council 2017-2020. Prof. Aisha serve as a member of Psychologic Concept Group Obafemi Awolowo University ile-ife and University of cape - coast in Ghana, a member American Biographical Institute Inc. Research Board Advisors in New York, USA. the Director, Board of Trustees Million Children Growth & Empowerment Initiative Granada, USA, a member of Education of Girls- Child Committee in Northern Nigeria, Almajiri Support Initiatives, Almajiri Educational Empowerment, a member of Nigerian Society for Educational Psychologist (NISEP), a Certified monitor and Evaluator from Nigerian Association of Evaluators, a member of Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON) a founding Trustee of the Arewa Rehabilitation Counselling Initiatives (ARCI) and also a Fellow of Behaviour Modification in Northern Nigeria. She has published over 42 articles in both national and international journals; with numerous chapters in Educational Psychology books, she also had two book publications.
